Car and Driver magazine had themselves a shootout down in Southern California comparing a 2007 Corvette Z06 vs. the 2007 Lotus Exige S and a 2007 Porsche 911 GT3. As the headline suggests, the Z06 was the clear winner not only on the track, but as the best daily driver of the three.

The 2009 Porsche Cayenne Diesel will be motivated by an engine outsourced from the VW Touareg 3.0 TDI. The V6 oil-burner will be retuned to produce extra 15hp and +50Nm of torque, but it still doesn't seem to be adequate for the job. It's the Cayenne it has to power, after all.

I always thought that a flat black was for people who lived in trailer parks. Spray bombing your car in flat black is easy and easily conceals any imperfections, over spray and dirt that would otherwise be visible on a glossy home made paint job.

If I had a Porsche 911 GT3, I would do the same thing this guy did… I would line up a bunch of cold beers for the evening and slam them back one after another straight off the racing wing of my GT3.
