The Ferrari FXX Millechili is 1000kg concept car based on the Enzo. Although the 2008 Paris Motor doesn't kick off until October 4th, Mercedes today has released details of a new design study they're calling the Mercedes-Benz ConceptFASCINATION. Built with the objectives of providing a "high level of practical usability" and a coupé that "appeals to the heart with fast, thrilling lines," the Mercedes' designers decided to make use of the "shooting brake" body style, thus allowing them to combine "sporty and elegant design with stylish practicality."

What makes the new ConceptFASCINATION so interesting, however, is that while it is a concept, its styling elements (most notably, the front end) mimic closely those set to debut on both the 2010 Mercedes E-Class and the 2010 Mercedes CLK-Class. Rhomboid headlights, a more distinct V-shape and a hood with more pronounced contours and a central ridge are a few of the similarities shared by the three models.

If you're a regular reader of our site, you're no doubt aware that today kicked off the Detroit Auto Show, and with it the world premier of a Mercedes model that after being rumored to be in development for some time, was finally revealed several weeks ago. That model is the Mercedes Concept Ocean Drive, a convertible concept based on the new Mercedes S600 which aims to revive the brand's four-door luxury convertible tradition.
