Posted by www.eMercedesBenz.com \r\n\r\nTo kick things off this morning, DaimlerChrysler has published the first details of how their updated 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been received throughout Europe. Since officially hitting showrooms on June 10th, Mercedes has received approximately 30,000 orders for the latest E-Class, a positive sign for the success of the new model.

When Mercedes-Benz unveiled the convertible version of its very rare SLR McLaren 722 S Coupe late last month, all it had for us were ethereal renderings of what the car would look like. This week the German automaker has given unto us a gallery's worth of high-res photography showing what is likely to become the world's fastest convertible.

Filmed in 2 states, with at least a dozen soapy girls washing, driving and wrecking cars, you’ll see Corvettes, a Saleen S7, the wreckage of a Porsche GT3 and finally girl on girl drag race between the Mercedes Benz AMG C63 and the BMW E63 M6.

As you'd expect from a wide body kit, the main highlights include new front and rear aprons, widened fenders in both the front and back, new side skirts, a roof and trunk spoiler and a new vented hood. Another notable change is the presence of the always popular 20-inch wheels with performance tires, while a new stainless exhaust system completes Vitt's CL package.

The new body kit from Carlsson may be ordered for almost the whole range of the luxury Mercedes S-Class sedan, including even the mightiest S 63 AMG supercar.

The GL 63 was cought during testing. The GL model will have the new 6.2-liter V8 -- AMG's first ground-up engine product.
