ust one day before the Los Angeles Auto Show gets underway, AUDI and Volkswagen have announced that they in collaboration with DaimlerChrysler will help establish the BLUETEC brand name as the designation for particularly clean, highly-efficient passenger cars and SUV's with diesel engines. Under the shared concept of Daimler's BLUETEC moniker, each of the brands will develop their own technical system for meeting the world's most stringent emission regulations.

When Mercedes-Benz unveiled the convertible version of its very rare SLR McLaren 722 S Coupe late last month, all it had for us were ethereal renderings of what the car would look like. This week the German automaker has given unto us a gallery's worth of high-res photography showing what is likely to become the world's fastest convertible.

Just in time for the Essen Motor Show, the successful tuner MTM Motoren-Technik-Mayer introduces the MTM Scirocco R with its specially developed tuning components. The programme for the Volkswagen Scirocco includes a performance enhancement of up to 272 hp, a MTM Clubsport running gear, a 4-pipe exhaust system with rear skirt attachment, a 8-piston MTM Brembo brake and also exclusive, sportive "bimoto" rims [..]

Due to the overwhelming interest in my monday’s post 2008 SEMA Show Girls Pictures I I have decided to post part II a little early to help you get through the week

The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world and IS NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. But don’t worry about that minor detail, I plan on taking more photos than I ever have at any event so far in 2008 so that you can see all that was showcased and ready for 2009.

Premium car manufacturers like Audi, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW were earlier insulated from the slump in the Indian car market. These manufacturers were comfortable and happy with the growing sales until Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) revealed the information that seems to shake them.

Importfest 2008 Season Finale took place this past weekend at the Toronto Metro Convention Center from noon until midnight. Here are some of the good photos that turned out. This is a follow up post to my earlier and very popular 2008 Importfest Toronto - Ass Photos collection.

Filmed in 2 states, with at least a dozen soapy girls washing, driving and wrecking cars, you’ll see Corvettes, a Saleen S7, the wreckage of a Porsche GT3 and finally girl on girl drag race between the Mercedes Benz AMG C63 and the BMW E63 M6.

This PPI RAZOR GTR is their first prototype. All the carbon fiber body panels you see are the 1st ones out of their carbon fiber molds. You can see the carbon fiber doesn't have that finished glossy look to it.
