This marks the first time that SAPTCO - the country's largest bus operator - has opted for the Travego model, although half of the company's 2,500 vehicle fleet already bear Mercedes' three-pointed star.

Mercedes-Benz Buses has announced today that it has received an order from BVO Bielefeld (Busverkehr Ostwestfalen GmbH) for a grand total of 104 rural-service buses. The highlight of the order is a batch of Mercedes-Benz Integro models that each feature a horizontally mounted OM 457hLA straight six-cylinder engine delivering 220 kW (299 hp), with deliveries set to begin in late summer and extend through the end of the first quarter 2009.
