Last December (2007) we all had the unpleasant opportunity to view photos of a modified C3 Corvette on MadWhips titled “How To Deface and Devalue a Corvette“, we are now extremely UN-PLEASED to bring you PART II.
A motorist heading home from work has a Red Corvette pass him on the right shoulder of the highway and realizes it is on fire. So he follows him to a Goodyear Tire Store where the Z06 owner jumps out and watches the flames consuming the Corvette right in front of him.
If I was ever late to catch a flight, seeing this taxi pulling up in front of the Compound would be a welcome site. But in reality, this Corvette Z06 isn't a taxicab all. It's actually one of the 120 cars participating in the 10th Annual Gumball 3000 Rally.
The 15th running of the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard is Sunday and the Corvette Z06 was selected for the 4th consecutive year. The largest gift in the history of the National Corvette Museum came this week from Wisconsin couple Ivan and Mary Shrodt. The $1.3 million dollar donation will be used for the planned 50,000 square foot expansion of the Museum that is expected to be completed by the summer of 2009.
Kelley Blue Book released their list of vehicles with the best resale value for 2007. While Corvette didn't make their official list, their report mentions that had certain criteria been omitted, the 2007 Z06 Corvette would have been number 1

The much talked-about Ron Fellows ALMS GT1 Champion Z06 Corvette will make its debut at the Chicago Auto Show later this month GM announced today. Confirming the rumors that started late last year, the signature Z06 Corvette features the Z06 with Artic White exterior, red interior and the long standing red driver side GT1 hash marks that first appeared 11 years ago on the limited edition Grand Sports.
GM may be building the first "special edition" Corvette of the C6 era, a Ron Fellows Edition Z06 Corvette. The special edition Z06 is Artic White, a first-time color for the Z06, and will feature a fender stripe, high polished wheels and a wide racing spoiler.
Callaway Cars announced they will be building a convertible version of the Z06 Corvette based C16 Coupe. The C16 Convertible will debut at the New York International Car Show in April. Like the C16 Coupe, the convertible version is available with either the 560 hp Supercharged V8 or the optional high performance 616 hp Supercharged 6.0 Liter V8.
Automobile Magazine gives us an end of the year treat with their 2007 Automobile Magazine All-Stars List. For the second consecutive year, the Z06 Corvette has been named an All-Star.
Car and Driver once again solicited cars from manufacturers for an intense week of evaluating and testing for their annual 10 Best List. Selection criteria and rules are fairly straightforward, and in the end it is no surprise that the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette was among the coveted list of 10 best cars.
On Fox & Friends, NASCAR cup winner Jimmie Johnson drove up to the set in a Z06 Corvette. During the interview the NYPD showed up with lights flashing because they didn’t like how he parked. At the end of the interview, he gets back in the car with one of the hosts and burns a little rubber. The cops flip their sirens and follow after.
