There's nothing wrong with retro per se. Retro done right makes for retro chic design which translates to robust sales. What we have had at Jaguar Cars is retro on the fly. The car's design simply was not thought through.
There was excitement when the world saw how creative and forward thinking the Jaguar's design team with the C-XF, the sports sedan that will replace the ancient S-type. Recently, the air went stale when the discovered how watered down the concept had become to fit into production realities.
The M.Y. 2009 Jaguar XF that is set to officially premiere at the Frankfurt Auto Show may just be underwhelming mid-range. It has hopelessly failed in its charge to save Jaguar.
