A rare 1967 L71 427/435 Corvette Coupe Sting Ray known as Black 'N Blue sold for $393,750 at the Mecum's High Performance Auction in St. Charles, Illinois in early October 2007. Only four documented '67 Sting Rays are known to share this very rare exterior color combination.

Gerry and Bonnie Rack have owned their 1966 Corvette Stingray since 1973. Yet the thought of their grandchildren's elementary school closing due to lack of funds was enough for them to offer the classic Corvette in a raffle in hopes of keeping the school open.
