For the first time in the 17 years since it became a part of the Fiat empire, Maserati is in the black with a 1 million Euro profit recorded in the second quarter of this year. This compares to a 7 million Euro loss for the same period in 2006.
Supercar manufacturer Lamborghini, has posted a record profit of 26.4 million Euros ($42.1 million AUD) for the first 6 months of this year. This massive profit quite comfortably surpasses its old record of 18.1 million (28.9 million AUD) which was achieved for the whole of 2006.
Honda Motor Company saw profits slide despite doing a global sales which rose 9%. There were expenses credited to the Japanese carmaker that added to boost the 2006 spreadsheets.
