Amid the fervor surrounding the Big Three bailout and the excitement of the LA Auto Show, it seems as though January’s North American International Auto Show is shaping up to be a more low-key event than in past years.

BMW’s Concept CS is now showing off its futuristic interpretation of a sports coupe GT at the New York International Auto Show being held in Manhattan, NYC. The Concept CS you’ll recall, made its first public appearance at the Shanghai Auto Show in 2007. The car, bigger than a 7 Series, is the next style benchmark for BMW, taking flame surfacing to its next level.

The fourth generation of BMW''s 3 Series four-seat convertible will make its world debut at the North American International Auto Show in January. A new dimension in the world of motoring comes with the introduction of a retractable hardtop for the first time on a BMW.

General Motors Corp. swept the 2007 North American Car and Truck of the Year awards Sunday, with top honors going to the new Aura produced by its Saturn division and the redesigned Chevrolet Silverado pickup. The Aura beat out the other two finalists for the car award, the Honda Fit and the Toyota Camry. The Silverado bested the Ford Edge and the Mazda CX-7.
