The new James Bond, Daniel Craig, is not forsaking his (Ford-owned) Aston Martin, but he will also drive the new Mondeo in Casino Royale. Ford hand-built a Mondeo earlier this year, so it could have a small part in the film, set in the Bahamas. It sounds like the car will only be on film for a few seconds, but Ford reckons hand-building a prototype is worth the exposure. Sequences from the film will also be used in a pan-European advertising campaign linking James Bond and the new Mondeo.

Banbury based supercar manufacturer, Ascari, has topped a public vote to find the star car for the forthcoming Hollywood adaptation of the 70\222s crime caper, the Persuaders. Notching up a victory for the underdog, Ascari stole the vote, with the stunning KZ1 now readying itself for its big screen appearance alongside some of tinsel town\222s biggest stars.

This isn't the first time a Fiat will be used in a Bond movie, but it will be the first time that it's a bulldozer. Doesn't sound like it'll be fitted with special hidden rockets, though.
