There are two engine options available for the Mazda2 Sedan :
- 1.3 (MT/AT) liter engine developing 63 kW at 6,000 rpm and 123 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm
Mazda Motors zoomed away with two awards from Japan's prestigious Automotive Researchers' and Journalists' Conference. The Mazda2 also known as Demio and Mazda CX-7 crossover won awards for best compact car and best SUV, respectively.
