The upcoming 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 muscle car will blow an impressive hole in your pocket. But it looks like a good competitor to the most powerful versions of the Mustang, though.

Dodge has officially pulled the wraps off the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8. Staying true to the concept which debuted at last year’s Chicago auto show, the Challenger is powered by a 6.1L Hemi V8 engine that puts out 425hp and 420ft-lbs of torque.

From the tuners that brought you the Hennessey Venom - Neiman Marcus Edition Hennessey has been very busy modifying since acquiring an SRT8 Challenger on eBay! They have been turbocharging and tweaking it to create the first SRT600. Expect power output to be above 600 HP with 600 lb-ft of torque (holy shit) featuring the massive 6.1L Hemi under the hood!

Equipped with the iconic Hemi V8 and a 5 speed Auto trans, the Foose (re)designed classic Challenger will be shown to public on June 15th, with production following next month.

The facelifted full-size SUV will now be available with a choice of five engines, three four-wheel-drive systems and first in the class SIRIUS Backseat TV entertainment system.
