Aston Martin's new flagship, the DBS, has hit the Nurburgring for high speed handling tests. The honed DB9, which runs a V12 engine upgraded to 530bhp, makes its debut in the new Bond movie Casino Royale, out this November. The production car will be unveiled at the Detroit auto show in January 2007, with sales due to start in the spring.
The big coupe was spotted in a parking area close to an Autobahn in Germany where it had been undertaking some high speed testing before the model goes on sale in October of this year. Aston Martin have received over 1,500 orders for their new Aston Martin DBS, effectively tying up the next five years production. Aston is currently building the DBS at the rate of 300 units per annum and unless this changes the DBS is going to be one sought after ‘bespoke’ supercar.
