Wearing Ludwigsburg license plates, which indicates an official Porsche AG car, BTG spotted this Porsche Cayman doing some hot laps. What was interesting was not it’s appearance but rather its sound. BTG photographer gives an account of hearing the distinct sound of a turbo engine as this Cayman flew past.
The 2nd generation Porsche Cayman isn’t slotted to make its worldly debut until January 2009, however as usual official rendering photos of this new model have been leaked!!
As shown by these renderings, the 2010 Porsche Cayman will have a fresh new front fascia including new and rounder air-intakes, updated fog lights, a new front bumper, reshaped taillights and LED daytime driving lamps. Sweeeeeeet!

Dortmund Porsche tuning specialists 9ff, well-known for their record breaking 911 GT3, have administered a tonic to the Cayman S. The 9ff CR42 is powered by a 420 HP engine, mid-mounted as usual, that will accelerate the new coup\351 to 100 Km/h in 4.4 seconds.

To take full advantage of its more rigid body structure and its expanded dynamic potential, the 2007 Porsche Cayman S is equipped with a large and powerful 3.4-liter, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine.
German tuning firm TechArt has unleashed their latest creation, the Porsche Cayman S-based TechArt GTsport. Underhood, the Cayman's 3.4L six gets the full once-over. Bored out to 99mm, it receives larger pistons, a new crankshaft, sports camshafts, and modified intake and exhaust systems. Accordingly, the engine management electronics are reprogrammed to handle all the changes. The net result: displacement grows to 3.8 liters, producing a healthy 385 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque.
Overall sales remained stable this past April and so far this year in relation to the same periods in 2006. The strength of the Cayenne sales alone have kept sales figure stable.
With the Cayman S (right) solidly established in the Porsche lineup after its October 2005 launch, Porsche announced Monday that it will launch a less expensive version of the coupe in July, dubbed simply the Cayman.
