Last weekend during a practice lap at Mid-Ohio Raceway the 009 Aston Martin ALMS went airborne off the track and "flew" 142 feet before landing off the track in the dirt. The track was reportedly wet and the unidentified driver lost control under braking. Fortunately his car was the only one on that part of the track at the time and it amazingly remained level during its separation with terra firma.

The much talked-about Ron Fellows ALMS GT1 Champion Z06 Corvette will make its debut at the Chicago Auto Show later this month GM announced today. Confirming the rumors that started late last year, the signature Z06 Corvette features the Z06 with Artic White exterior, red interior and the long standing red driver side GT1 hash marks that first appeared 11 years ago on the limited edition Grand Sports.
GM may be building the first "special edition" Corvette of the C6 era, a Ron Fellows Edition Z06 Corvette. The special edition Z06 is Artic White, a first-time color for the Z06, and will feature a fender stripe, high polished wheels and a wide racing spoiler.

BMW Team PTG announced today that Martin Jensen of Smoerum, Denmark will join BMW of North America's American Le Mans Series GT2 effort as the team's fourth driver. Jensen drove with the team at the season-opening 12 Hours of Sebring in March and will co-drive the No. 22 BMW Team PTG M3 for the remainder of the year with Justin Marks.

Ron Fellows and Johnny O'Connell scored a popular victory in their No. 3 Compuware Corvette C6.R with a one-lap margin over the No. 4 Compuware Corvette C6.R of Oliver Gavin and Olivier Beretta.
