This weekend saw the debut of the 4th generation Audi A4 DTM at the season opener at Hockenheim and once again the Audi can celebrate another racing success with a commanding 1-2-3 finish with Mattias Ekström (the Swede BALLER) taking the flag ahead of Timo Scheider and Tom Kristensen in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

To make a championship winning car even better – the Audi Sport engineers and technicians faced this delicate task when the job of developing the DTM race version of the new Audi A4 arose. From the visual aspect they certainly succeeded: The new A4 DTM, which was publicly unveiled for the first time at the Motor Show in Geneva.
Finally Audi has taken the initiative and brought their entire line-up of A4 models up to date. Until this year the wagon, and the sedan have had an older look and feel while the Cabriolet models was modernized early on.
The German newspaper "Bild am Sonntag" presented Audi with the "Golden Steering Wheel" award for the 2008 Audi A4 as it was voted the best vehicle in its class.
