Last month Mercedes unveiled the SLR McLaren Roadster 722 S, and with it, a relatively limited amount of highly Photoshopped pictures. Today, I bring you another look at the SLR Roadster 722 S – this time in a real world, non-studio setting and without the magic of artificial lighting.
The last of its kind, it is the only SLR McLaren Roadster in existence to feature a Sienna Pearl metallic paint composition. With metallic elements three times the size of traditional metallic paint, the color can be described as a radiant brown metallic finish with deep copper undertones. Complimenting the exterior, a Tobacco Brown leather interior has been chosen, while gold brake calipers complete the model's unique design.
Although better known for the work they've performed on other premium automotive marquees, HAMANN is finally set to work their tuning magic on a Mercedes variant, unveiling today a video of a model they're calling the HAMANN Volcano. It's so awesome it could make you erupt. With excitement, that is.
The 5.5L V8 SLR engine with its roaring 626hp is upgraded to 700hp thanks to a supercharger and intercooler kit Mansory replaces. As a result the Mansory Renovatio SLR is two tenths faster from zero to 100km/h than the production model, while top speed climbs to 340km/h!
The aerodynamic enhancements are all back, which include a carbon fiber front apron, side skirts and rear apron; and so too are the mechanical enhancements: high performance compressors, a sports air filter and a modified engine management system. But the true appeal of the Mansory Renovatio is in its styling, which combines heavy doses of raw carbon fiber with a markedly contrasting exterior color.
Probably feeling like going to puke themselves, guys from Mansory introduced much more eye-pleasing black-and-white exterior color scheme to their Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Renovatio tuning program.
Mercedes just announced its McLaren SLR 722 S Roadster which will make its world debut in Paris this week. The McLaren SLR 722 S Roadster is basically the SLR Ragtop Roadster with the 722 upgrade. It’s limited to only 150 units and will be built in the same facilities, McLaren’s Formula 1 workshop in Woking, England.

McLaren has been producing the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren since 2004, but only now has supercar-tuning specialist Mansory decided to modify gull wing racer and transform it into the new ‘Renovatio’. For the latest release, not only was the car fitted with a number of custom aero pieces, the engine too has been upgraded with a new supercharger while the interior also gets a revamp.
