Australian motor racing great Peter Brock has been killed in an accident in the Targa Rally in Western Australia.
The 61-year-old died when his car crashed into a tree during the race. His co-driver was taken to hospital in a stable condition. Brock rose to fame after winning the Bathurst 1000, Australia's premier domestic touring car event, a record nine times during the 1970s and 80s.
