As we reported earlier, Volkswagen is rushing the sixth generation Golf (now the Rabbit again in U.S. and Canada) to market two years ahead of schedule because of the current fifth generation's poor performance in the marketplace.
The new sixth-generation Volkswagen Golf (now known as the Rabbit here) has been spied in testing. While the images don\222t reveal too much about the car\222s design, it\222s obvious the new model will look quite different. Meanwhile, AutoExpress is reporting that the much-rumored R36 Golf will debut in mid- or late-2007.
The Volkswagen Rabbit was a US and Canadian targeted vehicle and brand, and they're bringing it back. With a starting price of about $15k, it'll come in as the most affordable VW in their lineup.
