Checkout the record setting 7:22 Nurburgring lap time from the Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR compared via split screen to the 7:26 lap time from the new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.
Although not officially confirmed, rumors have it that the Dodge Viper SRT 10 ACR might earn the title of the fastest stock car to lap the Nurburgring. Lap Time: 7:22.1
Back in July we showcased 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series Pics and just over a month later some real live photos of the beast have been snapped at the Nurburgring.
With the double-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 under the hood, power output is 661 HP and 738 ft-lb torque!!!
Nissan and GM have both released press statements and videos bragging about their amazing lap times around the northern loop of the Nurburgring. Much debate and speculation has exploded into the authenticity of each vehicles “ring runs” between Nissan’s GT-R (Godzilla Awakes on Steroids) and Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (King of the Road).
HOT OFF THE PRESS FINALLY!!! Honda has apparently started testing pre-production prototypes of its highly anticipated 2010 Acura NSX, as speculated by these recent spy photos taken in Germany.
Here is a spy video and pics of the 2009 Chevrolet Camaro undisguised driving on country roads followed by some action of it burning rubber on the Nurburgring circuit!!
This American produced Camaro was testing in Germany, keep in mind the Australian brand of GM; Holden, is responsible for it’s development.
The prototype example of Nissan’s new GT-R Spec V has been dazzling observers of its Nurburgring testing of late, reportedly turning in lap times of an almost unbelievable 7:25. If correct, those numbers would make the V Spec substantially faster than the ultra hardcore Pagani Zonda F Clubsport, which set a production car record last October with a lap time of just under 7:28.
The Nurburgring in Germany is the hot-spot for car spy photgraphers, and today they have spotted what can only be the new Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS (Road Sport). Aston Martin’s concept car has been confirmed for a very limited production run while reports about when the four-door coupe will go into production vary between first and third quarter of 2009.
The Pagani Zonda F has become the new king of Nurburgring. This amazing carbon fiber lightning quick Pagani Zonda F Clubsport has taken the title from the Porsche Carrera GT as the fastest production car to lap the Nurburgring. Coming in at 7:27:82 the Pagani Zonda F beat the Carrera GT’s time of 7:28.
This Pagani Zonda F is powered by a 7.3 liter V12 engine producing a monstrous 641 horsepower.
Rumours are that this is the Lamborghini Gallardo V8, spotted on the Nürburgring. The exhaust note is somewhat similar to that of the Audi R8 and recent spy photos of the rear reveal smaller exhaust pipes than on the V10 Gallardo.
Thanks to Car Online we can give you a short but very sweet glimpse of the new Lexus LF-A hot lapping at the Nurburgring. You can hear the V10 screaming and get a feel for just how awesome this car is going to be.
It looks like that the much-awaited Vantage N24 version of the famous hand-built coupe will soon be available to the general public. At least, in the United Kingdom.
For those who can’t get enough of a good thing, we’ve procured some additional shots of the Nissan Skyline GT-R test mule doing some hot laps on the Nürburgring , as caught by the snappers over at KGP Photography.
They say, that in most cases adjective 'handbuilt' is a euphemism for a 'look, dad, its door has just fell over!' In most cases a luxurious coupe with a sticker price of $100,000, is way less reliable than some mass-produced family sedan. That's why Aston Martin so much praises the fact that its almost unmodified handbuilt Vantage V8 completed the recent 24 Hours of Nurburgring, although it didn't even win. Actually, the car was only the 24th to cross the finish line.
The R8 is derived from the Le Mans Quattro concept car seen at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2003; it takes the name of Audi's Le Mans car to emphasis its performance potential. We found a great spy shot video of the Audi R8 shot on the Nurburgring race track. A must see! Great to see it finally in motion.
"Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday" is how the old saying goes, but maybe we can change it to "Finish on Sunday, Sell on Monday" in the case of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. That's because an almost-stock Vantage entered and completed this past weekend's Nurburgring 24-Hour race. The only modifications to the car were to address safety requirements and pit lane needs. The car had a roll cage, racing fuel system, fire protection, racing seat, and hydraulic jacks installed.
There's a live webcam that covers the start of the Nurburgring track in Germany, and it captures all quick shots of all kinds of cars that are ready to roll. In this case, it captured an Audi R8.
