A rare 1967 L71 427/435 Corvette Coupe Sting Ray known as Black 'N Blue sold for $393,750 at the Mecum's High Performance Auction in St. Charles, Illinois in early October 2007. Only four documented '67 Sting Rays are known to share this very rare exterior color combination.

Over 80 Corvettes are scheduled to cross the auction block at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Event next weekend in Palm Beach, Florida. As usual, a large contingent of 1967 Corvette Big Blocks, making up a remarkable 13% of all Corvettes for sale at the Palm Beach event, will be available for collectors.

A week shy of the 40th anniversary of his death, NASA astronaut Gus Grissom's beloved 1967 427 Corvette Convertible sold at the Russo and Steele auction in Scottsdale, Arizona for $232,500. Preceeding the sale of the Corvette was a multimedia presentation about Grissom, the first astronaut to fly into space twice and one of the first to die in the US Space Program.
