To give the BMW X5 luxury SUV a sportier look, the Bavarian car manufacturer launched the first M sport package for their X5 SUV. For those of you who are accustomed to other BMW M Sport packages like the one for the BMW 3-Series for example, this one won’t quite live up to your expectations in terms of exterior appearance.
At first sight the second generation X5 looks like it carries on with the main characteristics from its predecessor. The new model has been developed under the code-name E70.
As BMW's U.S. factory here prepares for the production debut of the 2007 X5, engineers from the German automaker are conducting shakedown tests on prototypes \227 under heavy disguise \227 in wintry European climes.

BMW has made this decision because it really wants to make the upcoming BMW X5 E70 a seven-seater but the SUV itself lacks the room to put the third row of chairs. To get some additional space, BMW's engineers decided to throw away the spare tire and put the vehicle on run-flats.
