The acclaimed Volkswagen DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) has evolved from a humble 6-speed into a new compact 7-speed and undergone a thorough revision in the process.

On the light and fluffy front the folks over at The German Car Blog have come across some breaking news. Apparently, Volkswagen are said to be working on a new logo that they hope to debut on the Golf VI.

Czech automaker Skoda has unveiled a photo of its upcoming Superb sedan. Although looking a little bit tired, Skoda's flagship model may be good enough to cannibalize sales of its parent model -- the new VW Passat.

In the UK, the 2009 Volkswagen Scirocco is now offered with a fuel-efficient 2.0-liter diesel engine.

With this update, Skoda's best selling Octavia brand's received new front fascia as well as a brand new engine and the best in class 7-speed DSG twin-clutch transmission.

Besides offering a full body kit for the already aggressive-looking hatchback, the German uber-tuner Abt Sportsline also gets all of its available engines upgraded.
