Half art, half engineering diagram -- the British Auto Show features an exhibit from Honda, where Dutch artist Paul Veroude has taken all 3,200+ parts from an F1 car and put them up on display.
Ok, so we all know that there are two things that can not be avoided \223death and taxes\224 You might want to add a third thing to that list and that being high gas prices. With the average gallon of gas finally costing more then a gallon of milk. The American consumer is getting hit hard in the pocket book. I mean look at the minimum wage worker, they basically have to work an entire hour to afford a gallon of gas (take out taxes from the 5.15/hour). ....
The Accord Coupe Concept will convey exterior styling cues and design features that provide a first look at the direction the next-generation Accord will take and it promises to set a new benchmark for Accord and for the segment

When it comes to performance, sometimes stripping down is just as good as beefing up; marry this up with a track-tuned suspension and this Swedish Civic is making bigger waves than you’d think.
It isn't often that a car differs startlingly from its competition. But when we compared four front-drive cars in our recent test ("Battle of the B Cars," July '06), we found that despite the group's general similarities, the Honda Fit just stood out.
A Jalopnik reader submitted a photo of what looks like a bigger Civic -- not that far off from the description of what the next Accord should pretty much look like.
The Sports 4 concept, which is nominally based on the Honda Accord platform, foretells a new four-wheel-drive sport sedan and also showcases a possible new direction for Honda styling, which the company calls “Keen Edge Dynamics.” The front end reminds us of the Acura RL, while the tall, sharply chiseled bodysides and the small greenhouse are similar to the new Lexus IS. At 180 inches (15 feet) in length, the show car is shorter than an Acura TL.
Honda has changed its mind about replacing the high-revving S2000, according to a story in Autocar today. It was intended that the current car would not get a successor but that could now not be the case. It's started work on a replacement for the roadster, although there's a long way to go. While preliminary sketches are being made, the project has yet to get the green light from the bosses.

First shown at the Geneva auto show in March, the Civic Type R concept had deep front and rear airdams and a sizable rear spoiler. It was typical concept-car stuff, but our latest spy photos taken outside the N\374rburgring test track in Germany show a production prototype which is nearly identical in every detail.
All you "Red liners" better start warming up those VTEC engines as on Thursday, the 14th of September, Honda's going to officially unveil the all-new 3door 2007 Civic Type R. Although unfortunately, there're no pictures floating around the net, I managed to get inside info on the preliminary specifications on the car.
So crank up the volume, fire up a Whynatte and enjoy the sweet ass sound of the Honda V10 F1 Engine being tested on a dyno.
Its so Freaking Super Sweet I can guarantee you will watch it more than once!
You will notice, there are a tonne of photos with the lights in the event turned on, I stuck around for a while after last call and dodged security guard after security guard until 45 minutes later 2 of them cornered me and literally walked me out of the show.
The Honda Civic Type R-R:
Few cars have been as eagerly anticipated or made as big an impact as Hondas Civic Type R.
Now there's worse news for the opposition. The Japanese firm has created the Honda Civic Type RR, an even more focused version of the Honda Civic, and a spiritual successor to Ford's Escort Cosworth - and it looks set to kick the Focus ST into touch!
The latest Hyundai Veracruz full-size crossover SUV, already on sell in Korea, has officially launched in the U.S. and Canada. The new 2007 Veracruz, which is supposed to compete with such established brands as the Lexus RX 350 and the Honda Pilot, will come to the local customers with an exclusive 3.8-liter gasoline engine.
Dadgumit writes: I dropped my car off at Russell and Smith Honda. I gave only a quick summary of issues (as they were closing) and instructions that I would fill in the blanks for them the next day. ... The next day ... before I had spoken with anyone at Russell and Smith, I got a phone call stating that the technician had lost control of my car and wrecked it, while test driving it. Obviously, the first question was "WHAT WAS HE TEST DRIVING IT FOR!?!"

Late last week, we told you how "The Sitg" of Top Gear fame drove an F1 car inside the ExCeL exhibition centre in Britain. Video has since surfaced online, but unlike most videos, this one may be a bit of a disappointment. That's because the F1 car had trouble planting all its power on the smooth concrete floor.
By the end of 2006, three Japanese cars will no linger be in production and it is a sad day for the fans of those cars. Of the three The one that stands out for me is the Honda Insight. My reasoning, the Honda Insight represented the future. It was the car that was to free us from the big oil companies.
Lotus may not have a whole lot to worry about yet, but a bizarro Elise of sorts is in the offing for the UK -- the Javan R1 roadster. Both are mid-engined sportsters, but where the Elise sports a modified Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine, the lighter Javan R1 will get power from its closest rival, Honda's 2.0-liter i-VTEC four. The Cornwall-based company -- which plans to launch the car this year -- says the 1433-lb R1 can hit 60mph in 3.6 seconds.
