The upcoming 3-series coupe will have an M-Sport package available for it, helping to fill in the gap between the 335ci and the upcoming V8-powered M3. Mostly an aero package with different wheels and a rear spoiler.

This E92 coupe, photographed by E90post member 760Li, appears to have an M aero package, with an updated front bumper, updated rear bumper, and spoiler.
Spotted crisscrossing Death Valley, California, in 120-degree heat, the M3 prototypes in joshinthecity\342\200\231s exclusive spy photo have ditched it\342\200\231s heavy camouflage in favor of a few well-placed pieces of tape. Up front, you can now clearly see the more aggressive airdam and power dome hood. We\342\200\231re pretty sure the M3\342\200\231s trademark quarter-panel vents are hiding under the taped-on covers, too. Bulging fender flares are another M3 specialty, along with the set of quad pipes out back.
As it comes closer to releasing the vehicle, the disguises become increasingly thin. The new BMW E92 M3 Coupe will be available next year with a V8 engine and SMG transmission.
The 335d will generate 313 horsepower post-upgrade, a figure that's complemented by a rather asphalt-shredding 463 lb/ft of torque at only 2000 rpm. The turbocharged 335i will see its output bumped up to a healthy 380 hp.

Lumma Design is reportedly preparing a fresh appearance package for the new BMW E92 3 Series Coupe. The kit will presumably be employed to create a heavily tuned version of the new BMW M3 Coupe.
According to Autocar the upcoming E92 BMW M3 V8 will be available with a 7-speed double clutch gearbox. This is not a revision of the previous models SMG which was considered at best a flawed driving experience. It sounds as though the new 7-speed is similar in concept to Volkswagen’s brilliant DSG.

BMW presented the racing version of the new BMW E92 M3 at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show. Powered by a 485 bhp eight cylinder engine, this impressive race car has been designed to compete in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) from 2009 onwards.
